An awake-overnight caregiver stays up and is available for bathroom trips, wandering, or anything that comes up at 3 AM. A sleeping-overnight caregiver rests in the home and gets up when needed. The two are staffed and billed differently, and which one fits depends on how often the nights are actually broken.
Live-in care means a caregiver is in the home continuously, with a sleep period built in and a scheduled relief rotation.
Rates are quoted per plan. What drives the number is hours per week, whether shifts are daytime or overnight, and how much hands-on assistance is involved. We will give you a real figure at the assessment, not after you have signed something.
