Senior Home Care in Clinton, MS

Private duty, non-medical home care for families in Clinton, Mississippi. Help with the everyday things: getting dressed, getting a meal on the table, keeping the house in order, and having someone in the room who is paying attention.

It is not nursing and it is not therapy. It is the support that lets someone stay in their own home safely. Our office is in Jackson, about 12 miles from Clinton. Call (601) 900-7218 to talk it through.

What our caregivers do in Clinton homes

A typical day starts before your parent does. The caregiver arrives, gets the coffee going, and helps with washing and dressing at whatever pace the morning needs. Breakfast gets made and actually eaten, because someone is sitting there.

Through the middle of the day it is the small maintenance that keeps a house livable. A load of laundry. Dishes done. Bathroom wiped down. Bed made. Nothing heavy, nothing structural, but enough that the place does not slowly slide.

There is a reminder when medication is due. Caregivers do not administer medication or handle doses. They remind, and they tell you if the reminder is not landing.

And there is the part families underestimate until they see it working: company. Someone to watch the game with, sort through photographs with, walk to the mailbox with. A lot of what we get called about starts as a safety concern and turns out to be about someone spending eleven hours a day alone.

Care around the clock, seven days a week

We staff hourly visits, full days, overnight shifts and live-in care.

On overnight, the important question is whether the caregiver stays awake. We offer both. An awake-overnight caregiver stays up and is available for bathroom trips, wandering, or anything that comes up at 3 AM. A sleeping-overnight caregiver rests in the home and gets up when needed. The two are staffed and billed differently, and which one fits depends on how often the nights are actually broken.

Live-in care means a caregiver is in the home continuously, with a sleep period built in and a scheduled relief rotation.

How to start care

  • Call (601) 900-7218. We talk through what is going on, what the days look like, and whether non-medical care is the right fit.
  • In-home assessment. We come to the house, meet everyone, and build a care plan around the real routine rather than a template.
  • First visit. Our median time from first call to first visit is one day.

Rates are quoted per plan. What drives the number is hours per week, whether shifts are daytime or overnight, and how much hands-on assistance is involved. We will give you a real figure at the assessment, not after you have signed something.

Serving Clinton and the surrounding area

We serve Clinton and the surrounding Hinds County communities from our Jackson office. If you are not sure whether we cover your address, call and ask. We would rather tell you no on the phone than schedule something we cannot staff consistently.

Questions families ask

What does non-medical care cover, and what does it not?
It covers personal assistance, housekeeping, meals, errands, transport and companionship. It does not cover skilled nursing, wound care, injections, physical therapy or administering medication. If your family member needs any of that, they need a home health agency, and we can point you in that direction.
What does it cost, and who pays?
Rates are quoted per plan after the assessment. Most families pay privately. We accept Medicaid clients. Long-term care insurance is commonly used and we support those claims, including the documentation and visit records insurers ask for. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA Aid and Attendance, and we can help with that paperwork.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Yes. We require a minimum of 4 hours per visit.
What happens if the regular caregiver is unavailable?
We send a substitute from the same team, briefed on the care plan before they arrive. We tell you in advance whenever we can. Consistency is the whole point of this service and we treat a surprise substitution as a failure on our end.
